Batman Begins 2nd week US release performance from THR via IMDb: Warner Bros. Pictures' Batman Begins demonstrated that fighting crime pays at the boxoffice as the Caped Crusader held the top spot for the second weekend in a row, taking in a sterling estimate of $26.8 million -- down a relatively modest 45% from its debut. Batman Begins joins Sony's Hitch and 20th Century Fox's Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith as the third film released this year to hold the top spot for two consecutive weekends. The Christian Bale starrer, helmed by Christopher Nolan, has accumulated an estimated $121.7 million in 12 days. Debuting in the second spot was Sony's Bewitched, a comedy adaptation of the 1960s television series, starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell. The PG-13 comedy from director Nora Ephron swept up an estimated $20.2 million, which was in the area anticipated heading into the weekend. Michael Caine has a co-starring role in both Bewitched and Batman Begins.
