Not an update but an explanation: In the filmography section, while each film gets it's own thread, bigger films (tentpoles, oscar-nominated, and cultural phenomena) get sub-boards. Looking forward to add many more sub-boards in the future :-)
Also:
UPCOMING UPDATE:
The Miscellaneous (Random Bale Stuff) will be moved completely under the Cool Bale Stuff board as a thread. The items are being transferred and the main board will be deleted once all the items have been transferred. If you are posting Miscellaneous stuff, pls take care to seek out the thread under Cool Bale Stuff. Thank you.

A lot of Updates these last two weeks. I have been very busy filling up the board with content and searching through the internet archives for more Bale stuff. Here is an update:
Changes & Additions:
I have moved the Industry Mentions thread under Legacy board where it more rightly belongs. New boards have been added most prominently The Biographical. A new board category has been created meant to develop (hopefully soon!) into a hub for the Baleheads! We have also added a Guestbook for visitors!

Hi guys! You may have noticed our new board structure since tomorrow. It was inspired by a detailed piece on Heath Ledger over at the PEOPLE's website in which his closest allies shared about their last encounters with Heath before he died. His death has been so closely linked in pop culture to everything re TDK that I really wanted to share it with fellow members here. And then I realized that Bale's universe is full of so many other prominent figures: directors he has worked with, other major costars, that as a Balehead you do develop more than a passing interest in them. So I decided to separate all the Bale Related Discussion board into two categories. One directly related to Bale's own films and career, and another for all Bale-related stuff other than that.
So if there's a major story about a prominent Bale-related figure you wish to share, you can post it in The Bale Universe board. Create a new thread if it's a figure that already doesn't have a thread at the board.
In the coming days I will be moving all Nolan stuff and the general Batman universe stuff under that board as well.
I have also separated Pop Culture References into a board.
Any questions?

Everything you do, RhodoraO, is much appreciated and I feel bad for not contributing more, but I try. I also haven't had the time to even go through every thread (not even near), but of course plan to, eventually. I'm sure there's stuff I haven't even seen before.
At which point are movies moved from upcoming to filmography? The Promise, currently, of course. After its general release in the US? It's slightly confusing to still have it in upcoming since it has premiered. Actually the world premiere was last year at TIFF already. And if there ever was a similar situation like with Knight Of Cups, it was in theatres in several countries months before the US, and it was even released on dvd and blu-ray in Germany a couple of months before it saw theatrical release in the US - when would that have been moved to filmography? My suggestion would be to have movies in filmography starting from when they have their premiere. (In the case of The Promise for me that would have been TIFF last year then.) For me a movie is no longer "upcoming" when it is finished and has even been shown to audiences. I think it would be clearer to have movies classified as upcoming when they are being cast, or in production, or post-production, but not beyond the premiere, surely? Just for consideration...
Thinking about the upcoming thing I just thought of checking when I might get a chance to see it myself. I hope the imdb info about the UK release is correct. I'll be in London a bit over a week after that, so... I normally rather opt for theatre than movies when over there, but I made on exception for the TDK trilogy IMAX allnighter back in 2015, and this sounds like another London movie experience (hopefully) coming up. - Sorry, I'm rambling...

You are right Tuulia. I may not count festival screenings as proper premieres as sometimes they happen months before the actual releases and directors have been known to reedit their movies between that and theatrical release. For The Promise, first I had thought I would move it on 21 April which is the official release date according to the film's twitter account. However, since it has officially premiered, I am gonna move it soon as soon as I get ample time, which I"ve been a bit short on these few days.
Thanks for your reply and your appreciation! Much needed!
