From a NYTimes BAFTA report: As the official party at the Grosvenor House wound down, and as Mr. Russell, accompanied by his “American Hustle” stars Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale and Ms. Adams (but not Jennifer Lawrence, who took the award for best supporting actress), readied to go across town to an after-party hosted by Harvey Weinstein at the Rosewood Hotel, he dismissed the suggestion that the lengthy awards circuit might be growing wearying.
“Complain? How could I ever complain?” Mr. Russell said, laughing. “Of course, I’m tired, but this is a blessing. It was great to meet Helen Mirren, who was wonderful about the film, telling me how much she loved it. If you complain about stuff like that, you’re in the wrong business.”
