A funny piece of flash fiction with an on point picture to go with: Bale on Oscars eve entertainment.theonion.com/sweating-exhausted-christian-bale-stumbles-past-13-mil-1832855729Title: Sweating, Exhausted Christian Bale Stumbles Past 13-Mile Marker On Oscars Red Carpet ____ LOS ANGELES—Grimacing and tossing a cup of water on his face as the spectators cheered him on, a sweating, exhausted Christian Bale was spotted Sunday evening stumbling past the 13-mile marker on the Oscars’ red carpet. According to witnesses, the panting Bale had completely sweat through his tuxedo as he passed the red carpet midpoint, about two hours after the Oscars starter gun was fired. The actor reportedly staggered through a scattering of plastic water cups on the carpet as he retrieved a pack of energy gel from waist bag before pulling up behind the E! pace car to answer a question from Ryan Seacrest about working with Adam McKay. At press time, Bale had passed the 20-mile marker as a nearby Jennifer Lawrence doubled over and puked onto the red carpet. ____

From A Top Baby Names Nameberry analysis on abc.com for 2013. www.today.com/parents/hot-baby-names-2013-so-far-christian-nelly-bruce-1B9225570"Christian has been a popular name for boys for two decades now, yet interest in it has tripled in the first quarter of 2013 over the same period last year. What happened? Fifty Shades of Grey and hero Christian Grey added their notoriety to the already-romantic image conveyed by actors Christian Bale and Christian Slater along with designers Christian Dior, Lacroix, and Laboutin."

Lol, how I missed this one! GQ Britain on last year's Bale beard: "A swept back mop of hair, tightly clipped beard and horseshoe style ‘stache all big up his cool factor." The article takes a men's beauty expert's product-filled recommendations which the expert finishes with: "Now all you need is Bale's brazen attitude." Check out at www.gq-magazine.co.uk/grooming/article/christian-bale-beard

Loving this snazzy Bale mention in a GQ story last year on Al-Pacino's style: "When you’re both old and famous, you’re supposed to get a stylist who makes you look like Christian Bale. You know: tasteful, conservative, able to be placed handsomely into the audience shot during any Meryl Streep acceptance speech." I should search for that particular shot mentioned and post it here! www.gq.com/story/al-pacino-is-on-one
